DEE ISGUZAR NAMED ST. MARK VILLAGE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY’S WELLNESS MATTERS MANAGER
PALM HARBOR, FL – St. Mark Village, a not-for-profit senior living community in Palm Harbor, Florida, is pleased to appoint Dee Isguzar as manager of the community’s new wellness initiative, “Wellness Matters.” Isguzar is a 25-year veteran of the senior living industry.
“We are thrilled to officially launch our new wellness program and have our very own Dee Isguzar leading the way,” said St. Mark Village CEO Jeff Gorddard. “We have made a significant investment in both people and resources to help ensure our residents are encouraged to make mindful choices and make personal health and wellbeing a priority.”
Isguzar earned her Leadership in Wellness Certification from the International Council on Active Aging, which is valid through November 2025.
“Health care has always played a vital role in my life,” said Isguzar. “I’m very excited to be in this new position and to help create the best wellness program for our residents.”
Isguzar has involved residents in every step of the initiative’s creation, from naming the program and weight room, surveying them on the services and programs they’d like to have available, and providing input on the equipment featured in the new work out space.
“It’s important that the program and offerings be of interest to our residents,” said Isguzar. “At the end of the day, everything we do is for their best interest, so it only made sense to have them help drive this initiative.”
The newly remodeled weight room, which has been named “Village Wellness Studio,” has been operational since mid-January. The community will celebrate the kickoff of the new wellness initiative and opening of the renovated amenity with a special ceremony on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 3 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
