November 9, 2023 – St. Mark Village, an award-winning continuing care retirement community, has announced the opening of its latest care option, a full-service, primary care clinic run by Curana Health.
The Curana Health Clinic, located across the hall from the recently renovated Backdoor Bistro dining venue, is now providing primary care needs, as well as expediting referrals to other healthcare professionals.
“This on-site clinic is truly a differentiator when considering local retirement community settings and further enhances our continuing care model,” said Vice President of Healthcare Services, Randall Rees. “Our commitment to residents’ care and dignity is paramount. Imagine not feeling well and instead of having to arrange transportation or hop in your car to drive to a doctor’s office, you can simply head down a hallway to the clinic or pick up the phone and arrange a visit in your very own home.”
Curana Health is on a mission to improve the health, happiness, and dignity of senior living residents by providing innovative solutions for senior care delivery, with a focus on prevention and care coordination. With a presence in 30 states and partnerships with well over 1,400 senior living communities, Curana Health has an established track record serving senior living communities, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and life plan communities,
The Curana Health Clinic at St. Mark Village will provide both in-person care and telehealth, including urgent care visits, diagnostics and lab work, and minor procedures. Providers will collaborate with residents and their loved ones and other doctors to ensure efficient care and put patients at the center of their health goals.
Additionally, with St. Mark Village team members also having access to the clinic and its services, the new clinic is an additional employee perk of working at the organization.
“Being able to provide primary care for our team members right here on our campus will be so convenient for our team members,” said Human Resources Director Mary Mason. “Not many employers offer such a benefit. It’s just another reason why to join our award-winning team.”
St. Mark Village recently earned a five-star rating in all three healthcare categories by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The organization was also recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a 2023-2024 Best Independent Living, Memory Care, and Continuing Care Retirement Community in 2023.
